Learn the history of their professional decorators
In their training, interior designers students often learn about the history of their profession. This can be a very important way to give context to their later careers. In this article I will use my experience as an interior designer and educator to discuss the history of this exciting field.
The first professional decorators based in London – the British were fascinated by Egyptian techniques ornaments and household would be the same for themselves. London was desperate families to hire an interior designer to create magical spaces and accessorize their interiors. As interior designers came to be recognized as professionals, they have increasingly found it necessary to rely on history to create amazing results. This is especially true when you create designs for historic homes in London and listed buildings – the so historical reflections as a means of preserving the past while looking towards the future. Romans in ancient Rome, citizens demanded comfort, luxury and wealth. These elements are still important in working with interior designers from around the world today. The décor, tapestries and stone still iconic today as timeless and popular in London as in Tokyo or Sydney. The Romans worshiped bespoke furniture and liked the quality of fabrics and expensive.
Monastic times after the collapse of Roman domination, the church took over and largely discouraged the most creative designers of interiors. luxurious interior was removed and interior designers were invited to install oak panels quiet and simple with dark lines and sharp edges. This influence was felt throughout Europe – from London all the way to Florence. Rebirth and Renaissance RENAISSANCE turned professional French or French-inspired interior designers. It was a new era of elegance and refinement, which then reconstruction of society in London interior designer and a new look at the creative and beautiful living spaces. A “palace” feel has been rediscovered, and interior designers have begun to take advantage of new routes through London to mainland America to return to their professions and to introduce the next generation of design.
